Wild Harvested
One of the most unique aromas in the Eucalypt family, this powerful oil is harvested and distilled by us. Classed now as a Corymbia, this oil is native to North Eastern Queensland, Australia.
Our sustainable harvest model ensures every tree’s growth and survival. Biennial rotations of our harvesting sites, enables us to maintain and improve leaf growth, leaving the trees in great condition for the next harvest. On each harvest, there is a deep respect for the eternal spirit of these ancient trees and the medicine they share.
Leaf collection takes place in the cooler winter months when the oil content is highest in each leaf. Once the hot, dry winds come, oil quality and content are greatly reduced. In these wild collection sites Eucalyptus trees grow in every direction as far as the eye can see.
Once leaf is harvested it must be transported that same day to the portable distillation plant for processing. To ensure the highest quality, they use gentle steam distillation to extract the pure, essential oil.
Our wild harvested Lemon Scented Gum has been tested by the James Cook University in Townsville against other Lemon Scented Gums from around the world. It was found to contain the highest levels of active ingredients of any of the other oils produced globally. We believe this is because the oil is harvested from the wild. Leaves in the wild contain high levels of active ingredient because they they are growing strong in their natural environment and in balance with the natural world.

One of the active ingredients within the Lemon Scented Gum is a powerful insect repellent. We have been innovating to create the first wild harvested, organic, insect repellent.
Working with the chemistry department at the James Cook University in Townsville to test and refine our insect repellent, it will be scientifically proven to go toe-to-toe with harmful chemical repellents like DEET and Picarin and offer an organic alternative that really works.
The compound Citronellal is extracted from Lemon Scented Gum and used as a source for many aromatic chemicals in the commercial perfume and soap industry.
